Decision No. 2158/QD-NHNN dated December 17, 2020 on amendment to Circular No. 16/2020/TT-NHNN amendments to Circular No. 23/2014/TT-NHNN guidelines for opening and use of checking accounts at payment service providers

DECISION

ON AMENDMENT TO CIRCULAR NO. 16/2020/TT-NHNN DATED 04/12/2020 BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK ON AMENDMENTS TO CIRCULAR NO. 23/2014/TT-NHNN DATED 19/8/2014 BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM PROVIDING GUIDELINES FOR OPENING AND USE OF CHECKING ACCOUNTS AT PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDERS

GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK

Pursuant to the Law on Promulgation of Legislative Documents dated June 22, 2015;

Pursuant to the Government’s Decree No. 16/2017/ND-CP dated February 17, 2017 defining functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam;

At the request of the Director General of Payment Department.

HEREBY DECIDES:

Article 1. Correction of typing errors in Circular No. 16/2020/TT-NHNN dated December 04, 2020 by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam providing amendments to the Circular No. 23/2014/TT-NHNN dated August 19, 2014 by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam providing guidelines for opening and use of checking accounts at payment service providers:

1. In Clause 5 Article 1 (amending Point b Clause 3 and Clause 6 Article 14 of Circular No. 23/2014/TT-NHNN), “khách hàng, chi nhánh ngân hàng nước ngoài” shall be replaced by “khách hàng, ngân hàng, chi nhánh ngân hàng nước ngoài” and “chi nhánh ngân hàng đó” shall be replaced by “chi nhánh ngân hàng nước ngoài đó”.

2. In Clause 6 Article 1 (amending Point a Clause 4 Article 14a of Circular No. 23/2014/TT-NHNN), “tín hiệu liên lục” shall be replaced by “tín hiệu liên tục”.

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from the date on which it is signed.

Article 3. Head of State Bank Office, Director General of Payment Department, heads of affiliates of the State Bank; banks and foreign bank branches shall implement this Decision./.
